About Me…
Hi. I’m Krys.
I write jokes, and when life isn’t actively trying to humble me.. I perform them.
I’m a comedian, writer, and speaker. I also tell stories for a living, sometimes with my pen, sometimes on stage, sometimes in a booth doing voiceovers, sometimes in rooms where people don’t realize they needed to hear the truth until they’re already laughing at it.
I’m not polished in the “everything is figured out” way. I’m more “still asking questions, still learning, still occasionally writing my past self an apology letter.” kind of way.
But that’s kind of the point.
I’ve learned that most women aren’t confused… they’re just exhausted from performing versions of themselves that make life easier for other people.
So I talk about the stuff we usually joke about first and process later:
relationships, identity, self worth, burnout, reinvention, friendship changes, loneliness, and the strange pressure to always look like you’re fine even when you’re actively not.
On stage, I don’t preach at people. I speak with them. I say the thing they were already thinking but didn’t have language for yet. And somehow it turns into laughter, reflection, and those “Damn… she said it” moments.
That’s what I care about. Not being perfect. Being honest enough that someone in the room feels less alone in their life. If you’ve ever outgrown a version of yourself and didn’t know what to call what came next, you’ll probably understand why I do this.
And if you laugh while thinking about it…that’s kind of the assignment.
